In the morning on the day we left for our big trip, we found this on the table:

It was from our roommate, Mel. A massive packet of snacks and treats, and a book for the road to better help us understand men. We clearly need this, and I think that Steve Harvey has provided us with some new insight about the way men work. Ladies, I recommend it.
With the food and book in hand we loaded the car with all the belongings we would need for the next month. We were all set and well prepared for the journey, minus a few issues with the car.

Issue One: I closed my door about 3 days after buying the car when the handle popped off and attacked me in the dark.
Solution: Threw it in the back seat.

Issue Two: Driver's side mirror falls, resulting in lack of vision on the right side of car.
Solution: Roll and stuff useless flyer under mirror. As you can see, this wasn't the best solution.
Other than that, Rosie was a perfect car for the journey and didn't have any issues.
That's all I can fit in tonight. I'll keep working on Danielle.
This reminds me of my oldest brother's story about driving his beat-up '82 Civic hatchback down to school in the States. It was pretty buggy out but his wiper fluid ran out/stopped working. He happened to have a 12-pack of 7-UP in the car and rolled down the window to pour some on -- he found that the sticky soda actually made things worse.
ReplyDeleteIf you need a hand with this blog, I could help you out. You post the photos and I will guess at what caption fits.
