Not really Christmas, but Christmas prep. Australians have to celebrate this time of year a lot more than the rest of us to keep reminding themselves that it is really Christmas, even though it is the hottest time of the year.
On Saturday night we went to meet up with Will for Carols in the Domain.

The crowds gathering in anticipation of the evening music. The place was packed full of people of all ages, and it was very difficult to find a patch of grass.

So when the Australians gather for Christmas celebrations, they all bring out their Santa hats and candles. If you could actually see this crowd you would see a lot of red and white. Australians united.

A common theme along this trip was us being under dressed for the weather. There was a lot of rain and cold winds in Sydney, but our thoughtful friend Will brought us hoodies whenever we met up to keep us warm. Gentlemen, that is how it is done.

The changing lights of the city.

Same building, different lights.

And in emerald greens.

New building, new lights.

In front of one of the light buildings with good friend Will.

And the new lights.
On Sunday night we went to the LDS Sydney Temple for more Christmas carols.

The Sydney temple and a massive crowd enjoying the company and live Christmas music.

Sitting at the temple with Justin and some dude's bold announcement.

D and the boys. This trip was great for that. Everywhere we went we had a crew of good lads to show us around.

An unusual nativity display. I never expected Joseph to have a fringe.

The angel - I just wanted to reach out and touch those wavy locks.

Mary and angel.
